Apply Bulk SIM Plans

This option enables an UNITE Management Console user with the Stock Assistant role to create a Bulk Order applying a Sales Channel Plan for a group of Physical SIM Card profiles or Digital eSIM profiles for approval. A user with the Stock Manager role can approve or reject the Bulk Top-Up request. Once a Bulk Top-Up request is approved it will be started immediately and cannot be stopped or cancelled.

Bulk Top-Up Creation

  • On the navigation menu on the left, select [Bulk Top-Up] action.
  • On the Bulk Top-Up and Plan History page, select [Apply Bulk Top Up] action.
  • On the Add Bulk Top Up page, enter the values listed below.
Field Name Mandatory or Optional Description
Operating Company Mandatory This must match exactly the value of the operating_company used in the imported data file.
Sales Channel Mandatory This must match exactly the value of the retailer used in the imported data file.
Sales Channel Plan Mandatory See list of Sales Channel Plan for the required Sales Channel in UNITE Management Console for value to use.
Plan Currency Mandatory Select from the list the currency of the Sales Channel Plan you have selected.
SIM Import ID Optional This must be the SIM Import ID value for the SIM File Import of this SIM stock
Box Reference Not Used Always leave blank
Purchase Order Optional This must match exactly the value of the purchase_order_id used in data file imported.
Total Plan Value Mandatory Total cost of top-up required by the operator plan multiplied by the total number of SIMs
SIM Profile Type Mandatory Value is pSIM
Total Number of SIMS Mandatory The total number of SIMs for this Bulk Top-Up
CSV Data File [Choose File] Optional The data file MUST be a CSV file with a header of iccid & only contain the ICCIDs/SSNs of the physical SIM cards you want bulk topped-up. The file MUST not contain any other data columns
  • On the Add Bulk Top Up page, select the [Submit] action when all fields have been populated as above.

Bulk Top-Up Approval

A user of UNITE Management Console must have the Stock Manager role to approve a Bulk Top-Up to be performed. This will normally be a member of the Finance Team.

It is very important to note that once approved this action cannot be stopped or undone.

  • Please ensure you have completed your own internal Bulk Top-Up procedures before starting this Bulk Top-Up approval.
  • On the navigation menu on the left, select [Bulk Top-up] action.
  • On the Bulk Top-Up and Plan History page, find the Bulk Top-Up you wish to approve in the list or use the search filters.
  • For the Bulk Top-Up item you are approving, you MUST check all fields/columns are showing the expected & correct values. The values to check are:-
    • Operating Company - is correct & matches the value of the Operating Company used in the SIM Import.
    • Sales Channel - is the correct Sales Channel.
    • Sales Channel Plan - is the correct plan. If unsure view the Sales Channel Plan to check the details of the plan via the Sales Channel Plan page.
    • Currency - is the correct currency code & matches the Sales Channel Plan currency
    • SIM Import ID - if used is correct. If unsure view the SIM Import to check the details via the SIM Import page.
    • Purchase Order - is correct & match exactly the value of the Purchase Order used in the SIM Import.
    • Total Cost/Value of SIMs - is correct. It must be the total number of physical SIM cards multiplied by the Top-Up Cost of the plan. (NOTE:- Do not use the selling price)
    • SIM Profile Type - is PHYSICAL
    • Total Number of SIMS - MUST be correct. If unsure check with the Stock Team.
  • If all values are 100% correct
    • Then scroll to the Actions column on the right & select [Approve]
      • When the message 'Are you sure you want to approve this bulk top up request appears & only if 100% sure then select [OK]'. Once you select OK, the Bulk Top-Up request will be actioned immediately & CAN'T be Stopped or Cancelled.
    • Else scroll to the Actions column on the right & select the [Reject]
      • When the message Are you sure you want to reject this bulk top up request appears, select [OK].
      • Contact the Stock Team to get a new Bulk Top-Up created with the correct values.

Bulk Top-Up Confirmation

A user of UNITE Management Console must have the Stock Manager role to confirm a Bulk Top-Up has been completed successfully. This will normally be a member of the Finance Team.

Depending on the number of physical SIM cards in the Bulk Top-Up, the process may take several minutes or hours to complete. A user should check back after a suitable time interval by refresh the Bulk Top-Up page & checking until the Status is 'Completed'.

  • On the Bulk Top-Up and Plan History page, find the Bulk Top-Up request that was approved.
  • For the Bulk Top-Up item you are approving, you MUST check the Bulk Top-Up was completed successfully by checking the values.
    • Total transactions - Number should match Total Number of SIMS value.
    • Completed transactions - Number should match Total transactions - Failed transactions. Any discrepancies should be reporting immediately to tech.support@simlocal.com.
    • Failed transactions - Number of failed transactions should be reporting immediately to tech.support@simlocal.com.
  • Scroll to the Actions column on the right & select the Action named Go To Transactions
    • View the transactions & ensure they all have the same & correct Operator Plan & a Status of Completed. Any discrepancies should be reporting immediately to the Support Desk.

ONLY when the Bulk Top-Up has been confirmed as having completed successfully with no failed transactions should you consider the stock is ready to be distributed to customers.
