Setting Up Operating Companies

Network providers or carriers are referred to as Operating Companies in the Management Console.
About Operating Companies
Operating Companies are mobile network Providers that provide your plan connectivity across UNITE. UNITE requires this information to be able to communicate with providers when activating SIM and eSIM purchases.
Your Operating Companies may already be set up as part of a Sim Local product catalogue configuration.
Adding a new Operating Company

This action can only be accessed by users with a System Administrator role.
Do I need to add an Operating Company?
A new operating company being added to UNITE may require Sim Local to provide the technical mobile network operator/carrier information. Contact your Account Manager if your product catalogue has not been configured.
To add a new Operating Company, select the Add Operating Company button. A form will appear. Mandatory fields are denoted by an asterisk (*)
When all details have been entered, click Save. A Saved prompt will display. You can then close the panel.
Once created, the Operating Company will appear in the table and is initially set as Inactive. To set it as Active, scroll to the end of the table, and select the Change Status button.
Editing an Operating Company
Permissions
This action can only be accessed by users with a System Administrator role.
To edit an Operating Company, scroll to the end of the table and select the View/Edit button (pencil icon). When changes have been made, select the Save button to save changes. A Saved prompt will appear and the panel can be closed.
Deactivating an Operating Company
Permissions
This action can only be accessed by users with a System Administrator role.
If an Operating Company is no longer in use, it can be deactivated.
To deactivate an Operating Company, find it in the table and scroll to the Actions column at the end of the table view. Only Operating Companies that have no active Operator Plan can be deactivated.
Operating Companies Fields

Operator Group | The name of the operator group, if applicable. A previous entry can be selected. |
Operating Country Name | The name of this Operating Country/network provider. |

Supports MSISDN Reservation | Allows for selection of a phone number at purchase in Retail POS. Not supported by all clients. |
Android - Direct activation in Mobile App | If this Operating Company supports it and is integrated with UNITE, direct download will be enabled for the Android app. |
iOS - Direct activation in Mobile App | If this Operating Company supports it, direct download will be enabled for the iOS app. With iOS 17.4 or above, even if this checkbox is unchecked, the seamless download will be enabled automatically due to Apple's introduction of the universal link feature. |
Top Up Provider | The provider of top-up services used by this operator. |
Network Adapter | The network adapter used by this operator. |
eSIM Adapter | The eSIM adapter used by this operator. |
External Pricebook ID | An optional identifier for product catalogues. |
Country Calling Code | The international prefix code used by this operator. |
ITU Network Code or MVNO abbreviation | An international identifier for network subscriptions. |
KYC Provider | The third party provider of KYC services for this operator. |
Export Operating Companies
To export operating companies, click the Export button. A file containing a list of all companies will automatically download.
Use the filter to display specific data, then click the Export button. A file containing a list of filtered companies will automatically download.
Import Operating Companies
Permissions
Import Operating Companies can only be managed by users with System Administrators roles.
To import operating companies, click the Import button, select your operating companies file in CSV format, and click the Verify button.
A list of operating companies from your file will be displayed. If all information is correct, click the Accept button. A Saved prompt will display.
A warning with details will be displayed if there is any conflict from your file. The operator plans file contains the below information. Mandatory fields are denoted by an asterisk (*).

parent | The operator group of the operating company. |
status (*) | New operating company status must be “INACTIVE” |
logo | The logo of the operating company. Please contact your account manager to set it up. |
androidDirectActivation | If “TRUE”, this Operating Country supports it, direct download will be enabled for the Android app. If “FALSE”, it is not supported. |
canQuerySimStatus | If TRUE, this operating company will return the sim status to UNITE. If FALSE, it is not supported. |
countryCode | The international prefix code used by this operator. |
esimAdapter | The eSIM adapter used by this operator. |
externalPricebookId | An optional identifier for product catalogues. |
iosDirectActivation | If “TRUE”, this Operating Country supports it, direct download will be enabled for the iOS app. If “FALSE”, it is not supported. |
kycProvider | If the operating company does not require KYC, leave this file blank. If the operating company support KYC by using Shufti Pro service, enter “SHUFTI_PRO”. |
