Setting up a Product Catalogues

Permissions

Product catalogues can only be managed by users with System Administrators, Product Assistants and Product Manager roles.

The product catalogue contains one or multiple operator plans. Users can easily manage the sales channels for each catalogue, as each can be sold on one or multiple sales channels.

Examples of product catalogues named “UK Data Plans” include the UK 50GB Data Plan, the UK 30GB Data Plan, and the UK 10GB Data Plan. Users can simply select brick-and-mortar retail, e-commerce, or UK kiosks to start selling whole catalogues on the above sales channels.

Creating a Product Catalogues

To create a product catalogue, navigate to the Product Catalogues page and select Add Product Catalogue. A form will appear. Mandatory fields are denoted by an asterisk (*). When all details have been entered, click Create. A Created prompt will display.

Once created, the new Product Catalogue will appear in the table and is initially set as Active. To set it as Inactive, scroll to the end of the table, and select the Change Status button.

Note

Product Catalogue can be deactivated if there are associated active product offerings.

Product Catalogue Fields

Mandatory fields are marked with (*)

Field Description
Name (*) The name of your new product catalogue
SKU Suffix (*) The SKU Suffix of your new product catalogue.

Edit Product Catalogue

To edit the product catalogue, click the Edit Product Catalogue button. The button will expand and show the product catalogue fields.

When all details have been entered, click the Update button. A Saved prompt will display.

Edit Product Offering

To add a product offering to the catalogue, click the Add Product Offer button. The button will expand and show the fields for adding product offerings.

Field Description
Operating Company (*) The Operating company of the operator plan.
Operator Plan (*) The Operator Plan name of the product offering.

When all details have been entered, click the Create button. A Saved prompt will display.

To edit a product offering, navigate to the product catalogue and select the View/Edit button. The table will display all product offerings associated with the catalogue.

To set a product offering as Inactive, scroll to the end of the table, and select the Change Status button.

To view or edit a product offering, scroll to the end of the table, and select the View/Edit button. A form will appear. Mandatory fields are denoted by an asterisk (*).

Field Description
SKU The SKU of the product offering. It cannot be changed.
GTIN The GTIN of the product offering.
Name (English) (*) The name of the product offering.
Description (*) The name of the product offering.
Languages Select a language by using the dropdown list.
Name (selected language) The name of the product offering for the selected language.
Description (selected language) The plan description appears to customers in the selected language. This is a free text field with formatting options available.
Feature Plan If selected, this plan will be displayed first in relevant results in Shop and Retail POS with an accent colour.
External Product image An optional product image - this can only be displayed in Partner API calls for this plan.
Product Image URL (*) The URL refers to the product image.
Width (px) The width of the product image.
Height (px) The height of the product image.

When all details have been entered, click Save. A Saved prompt will display.

Edit Product Offering Price

To edit the product offering prices, select the View/Edit button in the Prices column. The table will display the price in all currencies in a pop-up.

The currency in the first row is the base price from the operator plan. If the user updates the base price and clicks the Recalculate Price button, all unlocked currencies will be updated immediately.

To update the base price, select the Selling Price, enter the new price, and click the green tick.

To lock the selling price, scroll to the end of the table and select the Lock button. A Saved prompt will display. A lock icon will be displayed beside the selling price, and the Lock button will become an Unlock button.

When a selling price has been locked, the selling price won’t be changed even if the base price has been changed or the user recalculates prices.

Manage Sales Channels

To manage sales channels, select the Manage Sales Channels button. The table will display all sales channels in a pop-up.

To set a sales channel to sell this product catalogue, scroll to the end of the table and select the Add button. The Selected column will show a green tick.

To set a sales channel not to sell this product catalogue, scroll to the end of the table and select the Remove button. A red cross will appear in the Selected column.

When all sales channels have been managed, close the pop-up. All changes will be saved automatically.

If individual sales channels would like to have different plan details, setting up a separate sales channel plan, all details from the sales channel plan will override product offering details.

Import/ Export Product Catalogues

Export Product Catalogues

To export product catalogues, click the Export button, A file containing a list of all catalogues will automatically download.

Use the filter to display specific data, then click the Export button. A file containing a list of filtered catalogues will automatically download.

Import Product Catalogues

To import product catalogues, click the Import button, select your product catalogue file in CSV format, and click the Verify button.

A list of product catalogues from your file will be displayed. If all information is correct, click the Accept button. A Saved prompt will display.

A warning with details will be displayed if there is any conflict from your file.

The product catalogue file contains the below information. Mandatory fields are denoted by an asterisk (*).

Field Description
skuSuffix (*) The SKU suffix of the product catalogue. It must be a unique code. It can be 1-4 characters long, with uppercase letters and digits only.
catalogueName (*) The name of the product catalogue.
catalogueStatus (*) The status of the product catalogue. “ACTIVE” or “INACTIVE”.
operatorPlanBid The Bid of the Operator Plan.
offeringStatus New offerings must be in inactive status. “INACTIVE”.
